Please don’t make me talk about myself
Gustavo Gonsales is absolutely obsessed with dogs and is often distracted by them. He adores being outdoors, when you hear “touch grass” there is a 99% chance he’s already rolling around in it. He cultivates his green thumb through community gardens across Brooklyn, and is deeply passionate about the ecosystems one can create in a raised bed. He dedicates hours to the design of small spaces and tiny homes, spellbound by the way that everything is multifunctional. Oh, and he’s an art director who’s excited about social, video, experience, and design. Loves to concept ideas that are grounded in human truths and experiences, and values brilliant strategy that empowers smart creative work.
But, seriously, if I can go on a tangent here for a second, there is something so special about the way plants work. By focusing on native plants and interplanting you can create a legit ecosystem in your own backyard. One that relies and supports neighboring wildlife; native flowers that sustain hoverflies and parasitic wasps that control garden pests. Mushroom mycelium that doesn’t simply help hold together the actual earth but facilitates communication between plants. Plants that dig deep to bring up nutrients and others that inoculate the soil with nitrogen… did—did I lose you?
